Excellent tour by Ken S of Denver Infill blog today of the Union Station Redevelopment project.  First phase is a transition to a new light rail station and bus depot for the 16th Street Mall Shuttle to be completed summer of 2011.  That huge hole they are digging is the first phase of the bus terminal - this will replace the Market Street Station.  Check out more on the project here:

Watched a sobering documentary:  The Unforeseen  with Robert Redford/Laura Dunn-challenges of new development vs.  preservation of nature.  Focused on the attempt to protect the beautiful  river/springs in Austin TX called Barton Springs.  How do you balance  the two?

The silliness just won’t end with the Bell Tower  project near LoDo-now one tower’s residents don’t want it-NIMBY.  Progressive new architecture needs to be built  near LoDo if it expects to stay relevant.  Keep the historic center-but  encourage dev at perimeter
